Strange and Intriguing Scottish Foods

To follow are simply some photos of interesting and odd ( well, we find them odd!) foodstuffs we've come accross during our visits to supermarkets and village stores. Hope you enjoy this small taste of Scottish culinary culture.

Iron bru flavored candies and Guinness chips....came accross these at the Torridon food and craft faire.

Scottish tablet fudge- not anything like what we call fudge in Amerca. Nonetheless, just like mithers!

Whisky cakes of many varieties! The one in red is made with whisky from the Highlands, the black with whisky from the Islands, and the blue with whisky from Speyside. So many things are made better with whisky!

Seriously, what do gingerbread men wear under their kilts? We didn't have the 2£ to "taste the legend" and find out! Thus, the mystery continues.

Start the day right, and you may just improve your put!

Delicious! Like gingerbread, with a kick!

Scotch whisky flavored McCondoms. Not exactly edible, but curious, and thoroughly Scottish.
